CCM Union Presidential running mate, Ms Samia Suluhu Hassan, has commended church organisations in Serengema District, Mwanza Region for supporting and facilitating the provision of community development services in the area.
She pledged government support and commitment in collaborating with church organisations towards seeing provision of community development services in the area once the party is voted into office. Ms Hassan made the statement yesterday when addressing a campaign rally at mission grounds in Sengerema District, Mwanza Region.
In addition, Ms Hassan said she will ensure and support the construction of girls dormitories in Sengerema and elsewhere in the country in order to help girls acquire and complete their education as required.
âWith the aim of ensuring that every child acquires education, CCM has planned to provide free education from primary level to Form Four, the plan will go in line with the construction of girls domitories in order to facilitate their learning environment,â she said.
She pointed out construction of water projects, youth and women economic and health improvement as among the plans set to be implement by the government of CCM if voted again into office.
Earlier, CCM candidate for parliamentary seat at Sengerema Constituency, Mr William Ngeleja, said the main challenge facing the âwananchiâ at the constituency was lack of enough water, pointing out governmentâs commitment to ensure enough water sources in the area.
âThe government is currently implementing a huge water project that will bring water from Lake victoria,â he said, adding that the 14 million us dollars will see the provision of enough water in the constituency.
While in Buchosa Constituency, Ms Hassan promised quality health services for mothers and children by seeing improvement and easy accessibility of health in maternity and children.
Meanwhile, Nelly Mtema reports from Mwanza that Ms Hassan has said that CCM is the only party to be trusted with the national resources, as it boasts with leaders with the needed qualities.
Addressing a campaign rally here on Friday, the presidential running mate said the opposition is not matured enough to be trusted to govern the country. âCCM leaders are ethical, the opposition through their temporary coalition dubbed as Ukawa are not worth to be trusted with the national resources, as they have a lot of pending issues which needs consensus, thus not worth a mandate to rule the country.
âThe opposition is not worth to be mandated with the country, as they are not settled in terms of agreeing on a common leadership system let aside subsidy issues. Vote for CCM as it has a clearly stipulated system of government.
She said if the opposition wins the October 25 general election, the country will be in shambles as they will have to match their diverse policies as well as agree on a leadership terms before taking up the national administrative issues which she said is wastage of time.
Ms Hassan pledged to provide water and health services should they be voted in for the top office later this month as well as economic empowerment to the citizens.
She urged the electorate to vote for Angelina Mabula and Stanlaus Mabula who are eyeing for parliamentary posts in the two constituencies as they are ideal candidates for their improved welfare.
Speaking at the meeting , Paul Makonda said people should advocate for positive transformation as national interest should be kept at stake. âWe need transformation, but should go for positive changes, put national interests should be at stake during the polling dayâ said Makonda.
